Favorite Bible?
I've got a question for you all....
What's your favorite Bible? Why?
I have an FCA Bible I got at a basketball camp in 10th grade. And I like that one OK, but it's not really a study bible.
I have a "Spirit Filled Life" NKJV Bible that I think is my favorite, but I misplaced it when we moved and I haven't been able to find it.
I have a Women's Study Bible (I think NASB), that I really don't care for -- I think because it makes assumptions and over-generalizations with the little devotions within. I bought it as a replacement for the Spirit Filled Life, but have returned to my old FCA Bible instead, leaving this Women's Study Bible virtually untouched.
I'm planning to purchase another Bible -- probably a Study Bible. I'm thinking that I'll probably buy the updated Spirit Filled Life NKJV Bible -- unless someone has a raving recommendation for another one.

I have a NASB study bible. I like it a lot. It has a lot of sentimental attachment for me though. The pastor, who would eventually marry me and K, got us each a very nice Bible when we were in high school with our names engraved on them. It was the first nice Bible I ever received and it was given to me by a very special person (baby K is named after him if that is any indication). Anyway, I love that it is word for word translation and it is my preferred translation of the Bible.
Like Debra, I have a sentimental attachment to my favorite Bible, so it may not mean the same to someone else.
I have the NIV / Message parallel study Bible, in two tones of pink. I have separate devotionals that I love, so I wasn't really looking for a Bible with anything extra. I love the forewords it has to each book of the Bible. I prefer the NIV translation, and I like having The Message side by side for a quick look at how it may look in everyday words. It has study notes, etc.

My regular bible is just a plain ESV but I REALLY would like the ESV Study Bible. It has great notes in it and also loads of maps. The hubs has one but of course he keeps that one in his office at work. That would be my vote though.
And did JD just say she has a "pink???" bible????? Wow! :)
